Hi guys, still in my apprentice year so bear with me. Trying to go online with a CPU 1515-2 PN on a test panel, TIA V17. The CPU is at 192.168.10.5, I gave the laptop 192.168.10.100, and ping from a command prompt answers every time.
In Go online I've got type of interface PN/IE and the PG/PC interface set to "Realtek PCIe GbE", the one on the docking station. Start search runs for a minute and the list stays empty, and the CPU isn't in accessible devices either. I turned the Windows firewall off, restarted TIA and tried the search five or six times. I haven't changed the CPU IP, though I was tempted.
If ping works, why can't TIA see it? Pretty sure the laptop side is fine if ping answers, so is it the adapter I picked in that dropdown?
Which adapter is the cable actually in, and which one does the ping leave on? Run route print and look at the interface for 192.168.10.0. Any switch between you and the CPU, or direct?
Cable's in the USB dongle, it shows up as "ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet". Direct to the CPU, no switch. Route print says 192.168.10.0 goes out on the dongle, and the 192.168.10.100 address is on that one. Ok so both cards are on the laptop, only one has the cable in it.
