Commissioning a dosing skid at a customer site. Their 1214C died over the weekend, and the store gave me a spare 1214C DC/DC/DC that has been on the shelf a long time. Project is TIA V17, CPU configured as 1214C V4.4.

Load to device stops with a message that the firmware version of the device is lower than the configured version. The spare says V2.2 on the side label, if I read it right.

Tried: extended download, same message. Checked the memory card, it is not write protected. Someone here suggested reinstalling TIA, which I am not going to do on a site laptop with no internet.

Can I just change the device version in the project down to V2.2 and go, or does the old CPU need a firmware update first? I have a card reader with me.
