Slitter line. The F-DI 8 x 24VDC HF on our ET 200SP station died Friday, DIAG solid red, channels dead. I ordered the same order number, fitted it this morning in the same slot, and swapped the BaseUnit while I was in there because the old one had a broken clip.
Station runs now, but the new module just sits passivated with DIAG flashing red. Buffer says something like "PROFIsafe: F-destination address does not match" and the safety program's holding the door channels at 0. I power cycled the station twice and downloaded the safety program again from the laptop, TIA V16, and it's still doing it.
Did they send me the wrong module? Photo of the old and new labels attached, they read the same to me. Could anyone point me in the right direction here?
Module's fine if the order number and the firmware line on the label match. Paste the exact buffer text when you can, not from memory, and confirm: BaseUnit replaced as well as the module, same slot, project in TIA V16 unchanged?
Exact text: "PROFIsafe: F-destination address incorrect". Yes, BaseUnit and module both new, same slot. Project unchanged, nobody's touched it since the OEM left.
Two things it can be: the F-destination address, or a module firmware the HW config doesn't expect. The buffer says address, so it's the address.
The PROFIsafe address isn't in the project download, it's assigned to the hardware and stored with it. A new module comes with the factory value, so the IM sees the wrong F-address and keeps it passivated. With the BaseUnit changed too, the coding element that would have held the old address went with it. A module-only swap I've seen come back on its own. With the BaseUnit swapped it never does.
Device view, select the F-DI, right click, Assign F-destination address, or under Online, if I remember right. The DIAG LED flashes, you confirm. Then the channels need the normal reintegration acknowledge.
It's right click on the module, "Assign F-destination address". Selected it, LED flashed, confirmed. DIAG went green. Channels are still at 0 though, so maybe it does need that ack you mentioned?
Yes. Same as after any channel fault, press the reintegration button the OEM put on the panel, or whatever writes ACK_REI in that safety program. The address fix is done, the channels are just waiting to be let back in.
Pressed the reintegration button on the main panel, both door channels came back, line's been running since yesterday afternoon.
Right module all along. It came out of the box with the factory F-address, and because I put a new BaseUnit under it at the same time there was nothing left in the station holding the old one. Assign F-destination address out of TIA V16 with the LED confirm, then the reintegration button, and that was that.
Still not sure whether a module-only swap would have come back on its own like ines31 says, there's a paragraph on the coding element in the manual I need to read properly. Thanks ines31 and sanjay12.
Good. Put the BaseUnit on the spares list too, that's what caught you.
