morning. shrink tunnel controller, 1769 l33er, studio v32. downloaded a change last week for the new film, ran fine. tonight the tunnel blew its breaker, electrician reset it, controller came back up and my change is gone. it's running the program from back in march, the recipe screen even has the old film names.

second time this has happened. first time we figured somebody downloaded the old file by accident, but nobody did tonight, i was standing there. went online and compared and it's definitely the march version, and downloading my file again fixes it until the next power cycle i guess.

is the controller memory going bad? i don't want to redownload this every time a breaker trips. what am i missing

Memory's fine. Is there an SD card in the front of that L33? Controller Properties, Nonvolatile Memory tab, what does it show for the image on the card and what's Load Image set to? Firmware 32.011 I assume.

there's a card. nonvolatile memory tab: image stored on the card is dated march 14, load image says on power up. so the card is putting the march program back every time. that's it isn't it

Yep. Had the exact same on a palletizer here. The card holds a copy of the project and On Power Up means every boot loads that copy over whatever was in the controller. A download doesn't touch the card unless you store to it after. So your March image wins every breaker trip.

Two ways. Controller Properties, Nonvolatile Memory tab, Load/Store, press Store with your current project online, that puts your film change on the card, and do that after every download. Or change Load Image to User Initiated so the card never loads on its own, then it's a backup you load by hand. We went with Store after every download and a note on the door.

Store after every download is the one people forget. User Initiated is safer if the card is only a backup.

stored the current project to the card, nonvolatile memory tab, store, took about a minute, firmware still shows 32.011. then had the electrician trip the breaker on purpose. came back with my film change and the new names. did it twice.

so it was the sd card the whole time, load image on power up with a march image nobody updated after the downloads. store to the card after every download from now on. left it on power up since the card's the only backup out here.

what i don't get is who set it to on power up and stored the march image. the guy who did the march work is still here and says it wasn't him lol

thanks rsdave and sparkymike

Marking solved. Retitled so the SD card is in the title.
